Buffalo Bills fantasy football recap: believe Zitat · antworten

in Josh Allen Well , this isn’t exactly the recap that I thought I’d be writing this week. The Buffalo Bills went on the road and dismantled the Minnesota Vikings, winning 27-6 when they entered the game as 17-point underdogs. The Bills dominated every facet of the game, and in the process, they had quite a few stellar fantasy football performances. All three of our suggestions from last week hit, even though one of the trio wasn’t among the Bills’ three highest scorers for the week. Kicker Stephen Hauschka scored 11 points, hitting 2 field goals (one of which was of the 50-yard variety) and 3 extra points. Hauschka was one of four Bills to enter double-digits in fantasy scoring this weekend. Here were the other three.RB Chris IvoryThe veteran stepped in for LeSean McCoy and had himself a solid day. Granted, it was buoyed by a 55-yard reception on a busted play, but the Bills’ running back still managed 126 yards from scrimmage on the day. He carried the ball 20 times for 56 yards , and he added 3 receptions for 70 yards total. Even though Ivory did not manage to find the end zone, he still scored a respectable 14.1 fantasy points on the day, good for solid flex numbers by any measure. Ivory has scored at least 10.2 fantasy points in two consecutive weeks, and even though each outing was made respectable on the back of one play, that’s all it takes sometimes for fantasy relevance. Whether McCoy is healthy or not, Ivory has shown himself deserving of more touches going forward. He is at least worth an add as a handcuff for those who roster McCoy.Bills D/STThe Bills’ dominance was set up by a phenomenal outing from the team’s stop unit. Through six plays, the Bills had sacked Kirk Cousins twice, forcing and recovering two fumbles in the process. Going into the fourth quarter , the Bills had only allowed roughly 90 yards of total offense. Garbage time led to the Vikings finishing with 6 points and 292 yards, but the Bills also added 2 more sacks and 1 interception to their day. Overall, the Bills defense earned fantasy players 17 points for their troubles, good for the second-highest scoring output among all defenses in Week three.QB Josh AllenThe legend is building. Allen has leaped into his rookie season with vigor, leading the Bills to all 50 of their points this year. In terms of fantasy football production, Allen remains the Bills’ leading scorer after his outstanding day Sunday. The rookie quarterback looked poised and in total control against a stout Vikings defense, completing 15-of-22 passes for 196 yards and 1 touchdown. He also rushed 10 times for 39 yards and 2 more touchdowns on the day. He scored 27.74 points on the day, good for seventh overall in fantasy football—not just among quarterbacks. He was the fifth-highest scorer at his position for the week. Allen is also available in 97% of Yahoo! leagues. Especially if your fantasy quarterback is underperforming (Russell Wilson?) or is injured (Jimmy Garoppolo?) , Allen may be worth a roll of the dice with bye weeks looming.Sean McDermott takes over calling plays for Buffalo Bills defense from Leslie Frazier against Chargers The Buffalo Bills defense had the doors blown off in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens and more of the same was happening to them in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers. So Sean McDermott did something he hasn’t done in his 19 games as Bills head coach; he started calling plays.McDermott took over defensive play-calling in the second half, overruling defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and providing a spark to a Bills defense that was able to lock it down over the final two quarters even without Vontae Davis and down to just two cornerbacks.“I just thought we needed a spark and that’s my background,” McDermott said after the game. “Coach Frazier does a really good job as well as the defensive staff. I just felt like we needed a spark.”Buffalo had allowed nine consecutive red zone touchdowns this season (ten if you count the 20-yard score from Sunday on the edge of the red zone) until McDermott’s defense forced a field goal in the second half. After surrendering 28 points to Los Angeles and 47 points to the Ravens, Frazier’s defense had allowed 75 points in only six quarters. Buffalo’s 78 points allowed after two games is tied with the Detroit Lions for worst in the NFL. “Defensively, we didn’t play well enough, obviously, in the first half against a good offensive unit, spotting them 28 points Authentic Shaq Lawson Jersey ,” McDermott said. The Bills defense gave up 17 first downs to Phillip Rivers and the Chargers in the second half on the heels of 26 first downs a week ago to the Ravens. But McDermott, whose defense only gave up four first downs the rest of the way, doesn’t know yet if it’s going to be a permanent move.“It’s something we’re going to evaluate,” McDermott said. “We’re going to evaluate that as well as a few other things, too.”
